Notes
I love dance and watching dance so it was really fun to make.
I struggled a lot with the cuts and how much clips I could throw in there to keep up with the song without making people's eyes hurt from too much cuts. So I used this vid to work on continued motion between cuts, whether internal or external motion and make the transitions more organic. Ironically, I've spent  more time working on this vid despite its really simple content, than on one of my premiere. go figure.

Loved it. Great editing, visual connections and overall musicality. It looks like there was only one choreography and the vid keeps its energy from beginning to end. That's really something.

Oh wow! That was excellent! You know I was just thinking about vidding to all these dance movies together in a crossover. I don't think I'll ever do it, especially after watching this. I love the motion! Crap load of clip cuts, but it went very well with the pace. Excellent job! *wishes I was there at club vivid to dance with it :-D

I *LOVE* this. The movement is fantastic--so all that time you say you spent definitely paid off. It's completely entertaining and I've watched it several times already. I love the meshing of different styles of dance.

This was, IMO, the best vid of Club Vivid in terms of editing and musicality (and shiny!). It just flows seemlessly from source to source like it's just one big choreography and that just takes an amazing eye for movement and motion. Great job! *HUGS*

This is one of the vids I was actually able to *watch* at CVV and I really loved it then and love it now! Dance vids just make me so very happy, and this pulses with great movement and energy. I will no doubt begin sounding incredibly repetitive when I talk about your vids, but you are always so attuned to the music (whatever song you happen to be using) and have amazing instincts when it comes to movement and flow.

(and you're adorable, too...I'm so glad we got to meet :-))

I didn't realize you had a 3rd VVC vid until I watched the DVDs. I must have missed it on my flist or something. The skill level of editing for this vid is astounding. Going back and forth between the movies and the dances is so cool. The cuts are just right and the motion is amazing. The interplay between the three movies is so great that I couldn't always tell which clip was from which movie. The structure of them getting ready and going really shows how the movies' storylines are so alike. They all tell pretty much the same story.

I spent a lot of time on this one trying to make every cut right so it'd be like a giant 3min dance, so I'm really grateful you feel that way. Dance movies are fun, but clearly always tell the same kind of story ;) you even have the same actress in 2 of the movies used here ahah. I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)

It's absolutely breathtaking, the musicality of it, the perfect flow, accentuating every shift in music and merging the sources so perfectly I simply can't tell which is which - it's stunning. It also makes me wanna dance like crazy, and it looks pretty ridiculous too, since I can't tear my eyes from the screen at the same time. It must've been brilliant at club vivid! *is almost moping about not being there, but quickly interrupted by the glee of Starlight again*

This is so cool! To be honest dance vids often have trouble holding my attention but the musicality and razor-sharp editing was enough to get me hooked. The effort you put into being meticulous about the cutting really paid off. I love the connections you drew between the three movies. It's hard to timestamp it because the whole thing just flows together in one big dance-y whole. But my favorite part is 1:10. I love the "establishing" shots as the characters get ready to really kick things into high gear. :D

Still don't know how this one managed to slip under my nose, seeing that you used the ever awesome Starlight, but Im correcting that mistake right now. It was probably that whole August flood of VVC vids...thing.

While Im no fan of dance movies either (the wife is though), this held my attention & had me bopping along all the way through! Great energy in this vid though it was nice to see you take it down a notch for the slower parts.

Colour me entertained!

You've already gotten [info]lim's stamp of approval on this, i.e. the ultimate compliment of all time, so I don't think anything I can say will top that. Just allow me a quick comment re the incredible fluidity and musicality of this vid. There are so many dance film mash-ups in CVV but yours stands out because your sense of musicality and addressing layers in the music is just so incredibly sophisticated and jealous-making. It's gorgeous!
